How not to do photographs
This is a postcard sent to me to advertise some wearable art. This scan of it hides some of the issues since my scanner apparently does some color correction. The photo is mostly grey, very washed out. The area of highest contrast in a photo is what draws your eye, and in this photo it's the model's face, not the wearable art. Too bad, since the coat is pretty fab.
Below is the same postcard, same scanner, scanned in black and white to emphasize where the contrast happens, and how dark the original (non-corrected) postcard is. Don't do this, make the colors stand out!
Now I just have to figure out how to get the scanner to sop with the color correction.
